22 Classic and Right-Now Album Covers Photographed by Women

These strong, conceptual images guide the music we love.

Despite our love for non-stop streaming, vinyl never left our hearts, shelves, and turntables. So we compiled 20 of our favorite record covers by some or our favorite photographers.

These include classics like Annie Leibovitz' cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" and Beth Garrabant's cool and mysterious portrait of Taylor Swift for the cover of Folklore.

While many were made specifically for the albums, some, like Deanna Lawson's 2009 photograph "Binky and Tony Forever," which appeared on the cover of Blood Orange's Freetown Sound were licensed for their narrative and conceptual power.
